The Calibo Vanga 48" DC Ceiling Fan in White and Bamboo brings the popular Scandinavian aesthetic right into your home, minus the maintenance of real timber. By combining high-quality ABS plastic blades with a powerful DC motor, this fan offers a stylish, durable, and whisper-quiet cooling solution that looks just as good in a coastal living room as it does in a modern bedroom.
Why You'll Love the Calibo Vanga
If you love the look of timber but worry about durability, the Vanga is your perfect match. The blades are crafted from premium ABS plastic finished in a realistic bamboo tone. This means you get the warm, natural vibe of wood, but the blades won't warp, droop, or fade over time. It’s tough enough for covered outdoor alfresco areas and coastal homes, yet stylish enough to be a feature piece in your master bedroom.
Don't let the compact 48-inch size fool you—this fan is a powerhouse. Thanks to its energy efficient DC motor, it moves a serious amount of air to keep you cool on those sticky summer afternoons, all while running quietly so it won't disturb your sleep or conversation. It uses a fraction of the electricity of older AC fans, keeping your energy bills low.
Convenience is key with the Vanga. It comes with a 6-speed remote control that puts you in charge of your comfort. You can easily switch between a gentle breeze for sleeping or high power for cooling down a hot room. Plus, the handy timer function lets you set the fan to turn off automatically after you fall asleep, and the reversible mode helps circulate warm air during winter.
The Calibo Vanga Features
Durable Scandi Style
The combination of a white motor housing and bamboo-finished blades captures the essence of Scandinavian design. Because the blades are made from rust-proof ABS plastic, they are perfect for coastal locations and outdoor undercover areas where real timber might struggle.
Impressive Airflow
For a 48" (122cm) fan, the Vanga punches well above its weight. On the highest speed, it delivers a massive 14,103 m3/hr of airflow. This makes it ideal for bedrooms, studies, or smaller living spaces where you need strong cooling without a physically imposing fan.
Smart & Efficient Operation
The DC motor is incredibly efficient, consuming only 30.3W on the highest speed and a tiny 2.6W on low. The included remote also features a "Sea Breeze" mode which varies the speed to simulate a natural gust of wind.
Designed for Australian Homes
Whether you have a flat ceiling or a rake (up to 10 degrees standard, or 38 degrees with an optional kit), the Vanga installs easily. It's sized perfectly for standard bedrooms (3m x 3m) up to medium living spaces.
The Calibo Vanga 48" offers the best of both worlds: the warmth of a timber look with the robust performance of modern engineering, making it a fantastic addition to any Aussie home.
